I am in the preliminary stage of planning a snapshot event for Beaver Creek on September 25th. My intent, if I can get the numbers to do it, is to monitor sites along the entire stream length and also to monitor most of the major tributaries near where they flow into Beaver Creek. If I can get enough volunteers additional sites may be added.
Beaver Creek flows through western Boone, northern Dallas, and northwest Polk Counties. The headwater is near the north border of Boone County and it flows into the Des Moines River a few miles south of Saylorville Dam.
