Hello,

I'm seeking advice, recommendations, etc, on creating a water quality monitoring group from those who have been through the process or who are or have been a member of a water monitoring group. What works? What doesn't? Is there anything you would want to do differently? Success or failure stories welcomed.

I'd also be interested in things like recruiting methods, size of the group, turnover of members, anything that pertains to the creation and maintenance of the group.

Thanks!

Steve,

A couple of things that might help you: check out the Squaw Creek Watershed group in Ames, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/squawcreek/ and check out this guide to forming watershed groups http://www.extension.iastate.edu/Publications/EDC278.pdf.
